Birth pains vs. Disaster kit

 Birth pains vs. Disaster kit

Birth pains vs. disaster kit…. Boy O boy did we have quite the weekend trying to put together a disaster kit, trust me it turned out to be a “simple kit.” All the trips back and forth to the store, reminded me of the prepared baby bag to go to the hospital for the big day. Well remembering back to those days, yes the family did get tired of all the false alarms, but when the “water broke” we were finally prepared!! This weekend was like that for us, the “what if’s” got us to thinking, so we started preparing because it would be better to be prepared than not, so we did start putting together a disaster kit. Hey, it isn’t easy I tell you! It’s hard to think up all that stuff, but ya’ll know it would be foolish not to be prepared, so good luck at the back and forth trips!!!!!

PMDs make the assumption/assertion that when the Bible says Israel it means ehltary/physical Israel, but Paul said For they [are] not all (true/spiritual) Israel, which are of (earthly/physical)Israel: (inserted for clarification). The only people of God are those who are Abraham's seed are those who have faith in Christ (Galatians 3:29). THIS is True Israel, Jew and Gentile, the Church! all this shows is that everything they were prmesisod was CONDITIONAL, there are many jews who are againt the establishment of israel saying it goes against the teachings of the torah because in there apperantly it sais that they cannot by them selves establish the land, and not by the UN either.besides ever wonder why the jews in israel are white?while every nation around them is of a brown colored skin?interesting.. why are they eastern-european like? because they converted to judaism!!

Well, you can try calling her and asikng if there are better and cheaper ways you can communicate with each other. Take enough time on the phone to have an agreement on how to talk to each other. Some ways can be through letters or email, or cell phones if you have them and can be usable in the areas you're at. But the phone maybe the only option due to what's going on in Israel.

Oh how I LOVE my King Arthur dough whisk! It makes mixing the dough so much eaiesr than a spoon. I started baking bread several years ago because it made me feel closer to my grandmother who had passed away & she made fresh yeast rolls daily for as long as she was able. Many of my friends are in awe of the bread I make but I try to reassure them that it really isn't difficult. You just have to be patient & give the yeast time to do its thing ! Love your blog!

Great question, L.S. I prlaonsely own a kitchen thermometer, but I rarely use it when I'm baking bread. I go by the rule that the liquids should feel slightly warm to the touch, but not hot. That has always worked for me. If you're not sure, go a bit on the cool side (or more lukewarm/room temperature) Your dough may rise a bit more slowly, but you won't risk killing the yeast.

Bridget, Great tutorial! I've tried to make this dough twice using your *exact* recpie and instructions, and I just get a big flaky, crumbly mess. I can barely get the dough to come together. I'm in Chicago, it's winter, and my house is dry. Would you recommend adding any liquid to the dough - milk, or perhaps an extra egg? Thank you!

Hecmi....the dough will be quite crumbly, do you'll need to knead it togtheer. The cookies are soft, not crisp. If you want a crisper cookie, roll them thinner and bake a bit longer. I wouldn't add more flour....that will dry them out. (I live where it's hot & humid, too.)

if you don't like that much salt in the crust, season the roast with salt and peeppr about 30 mins before you add the crust . give the seasonings some time to penetrate the meat i would dust the roast with s p, let it sit, then use about half the salt in the crust.
